Taught by people
who've built it themselves
Both trainers are working florists and entrepreneurs — everything they teach comes from real experience running a floristry business in Singapore, not a textbook.
A decade ago, Sarah left a career in banking to follow her instinct for beauty and craft. What followed was a rigorous global education in floral design — training under Catherine Muller in Paris, Judith Blacklock in London, Wagner Kreusch in Portugal, and Lee Ju Yeon at Vaness Flowers in Korea. That foundation shaped a distinctive aesthetic rooted in nature's seasons: arrangements that move the way wildflowers do, spontaneous and alive.
Today Sarah leads Flowers by Terra, teaches under the SSG programme, and has shared her craft with thousands of students across Singapore and internationally. She designed this WSQ curriculum herself — which means every hour of this course reflects what she knows actually works, not what looks good on a syllabus.
"This course teaches what I wish someone had taught me when I was starting out — not just how to make beautiful arrangements, but how to price them, plan around them, and build a business that actually sustains itself. Everything in this course comes from doing it, not just studying it."
Joanne came to floristry in 2020 — and built her footing quickly, moving from online retail into training and events within a few years. Her background in events and exhibitions gives her a practical, production-minded approach to floral work: she understands timelines, logistics, and what it takes to deliver under pressure.
Now working as a freelancer across both the floristry and events industries, Joanne brings a grounded, real-world perspective to this course. She knows what it takes to go from a first arrangement to a paying client — and that's exactly what she helps students figure out.
