About this course
Where event strategy meets floral artistry
Event and wedding floral designers don't just supply flowers — they co-author experiences. That means understanding how events are built, not just how they look.
This course teaches the complete event management lifecycle through the lens of floral design. You will learn to craft a compelling client proposal after consultation, develop a venue strategy, coordinate logistics, manage live execution, and evaluate outcomes — building your skills session by session until the final installation day, where everything you've planned comes to life.
Designed for event and wedding floral designers and stylists who are ready to take on bigger briefs with full confidence.
- 1Craft compelling client proposals and event concepts aligned to brief, trends, and sustainability
- 2Evaluate venues and recommend the right layout and setup style for any event type
- 3Build run sheets, cue sheets, and floral production timelines
- 4Coordinate vendors, venue personnel, and your own installation team
- 5Execute live events within agreed timelines and budgets
- 6Respond to live changes and compliance requirements in real time
- 7Measure event success with a structured KPI and feedback framework
Learn it. Build it. Bring it home.
What you'll create on the final day.
The final day is a live installation day. Working together as a class, you will build two event floral installations for a real event brief — then dismantle them into pieces you take home.
Large trailing tablescape
A lush, full-length table installation designed to a real event brief — cascading florals, trailing greenery, and layered textures that bring the client's vision from planning document to centrepiece reality.
Deconstructed arch with floral hedges
A statement arch broken into individual floral hedge panels — each student builds their own section of the full installation. Once the class installation is complete and photographed, every learner takes their hedge panel home.

Your trainer
Taught by someone who's done both.
Joanne brings a decade of events management experience to every session she leads — a background that shapes how she thinks about floristry, not just as craft, but as production. She understands what it takes to deliver at scale, under pressure, and on time, because she's done it across exhibitions, corporate events, and live productions throughout her career.
She came to floristry in 2020, moving quickly from studio work into training and live events. That combination — events management depth, floristry precision — is exactly what this course is built around. Joanne teaches the way she works: methodical, practical, and always with the final installation in mind.
"Floristry and events are the same discipline — they're both about transforming a space for a moment that matters. This course gives you the tools to do both, properly."
